THINGS OF SUSTAINING VALUE One of the great challenges In writing about THINGS of God Is TRYING to describe things That are indescribable For example HOW do you describe What the KINGDOM OF GOD Is like? Or how do you describe GOD'S LOVE? Other than to say it is INFINITE “What is the KINGDOM of God like?..... It is like a mustard seed that..... Became a large bush.....it is like yeast …..” Luke 13:18, 19, 21 YES the KINGDOM of God Is like a mustard seed-and- Yeast-things of great sustaining value- JUST LIKE LOVE Yes-the mustard sees-about 1/20th of an inch Across-it is a traditional symbol of A very teeny thing Yet it grows into a large bush That houses birds And then there is yeast- It turns plain flour into Huge fluffy loaves of bread BUT it is GOD'S LOVE That really feeds us That really SUSTAINS US “Jesus answered, 'It is written: man shall NOT LIVE on bread alone But on every word That COMES from the mouth of God'” Matthew 4:4 It is the WORDS of God- The words of life and love That really sustains us GOD'S WORDS=goodness and FAITH Is what works in the KINGDOM Of God=it is what sustains us In life “TRUST in the Lord And do good Dwell in the land And enjoy safe pasture” Psalm 37:3 “Then you will win favor And a good name In the sight of God And man” Proverbs 3:4 Yes goodness-FAITH-and God's LOVE Are things of sustaining value In the Kingdom of God Jesus never created a MIRACLE Without someone having GREAT FAITH In him INCLUDING my own MIRACLE And my miracle of LIFE “He replied, 'Because you have so little faith Truly I tell you IF you have faith As SMALL as a mustard seed You can say to this mountain 'MOVE from here to there And it will move NOTHING will be impossible to you'” Matthew 17:21 And WHILE you are LIVING out of faith Out of goodness- Out of love Out of God and Jesus' miracles Of his Kingdom The things of SUSTAINING VALUE NOTHING will be impossible For God-and you-within the CONTEXT Of your own life “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD” Mark 10:27 Robert P.
