BUILDING THE DREAM

Jacob was a DREAMER=he

Told his brothers=he was

His Father's FAVORITE

But his brothers RESENTED him=

Threw him into a cistern=and

SOLD him into slavery

“They said to one another=

'Here comes that mater DREAMER'”                                                                        Genesis37:19

Sibling RIVALRY taken to the extreme=

The story of Joseph and his brothers

Was a FORESHADOWING=

Of what was to HAPPEN

In Jesus' life

Jesus was that MASTERFUL DREAMER=

Who dreamed of a LIFE of God

And LOVE for all

And we KNOW how he was treated=

What was to happen on earth

BUILDING a life of God=one God=

ONE LIFE of love for all

BUILDING THE DREAM!

“And afterward

I will poor out my SPIRIT

On all people

Your sons and daughters

Will PROPHESY

Your old men

Will dream DREAMS

Your young men

Will see VISIONS”                                                                                          Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17

Jesus CHALLENGES us

To work on our INNER SOULS

To BECOME the potential people

That we could be

Jesus had a VISION

For this world

To BUILD a life=to build

A world FULL OF LOVE

But Jesus=the DREAMER=as Joseph

Was before him=and Martin Luther King

And the KENNEDYS were after him

Were MISUNDERSTOOD and resented=

But that did NOT stop them

From working to make their VISIONS=

A REALITY in this world

Building the DREAM=building

ON THE VISION

“A time to kill

A TIME to heal

A time to tear down

And a TIME TO BUILD”                                                                                             Ecclesiastes 3:3

“And I tell you

That you are Peter

And on this ROCK

I will BUILD my church

And the gates of Hades

Will NOT overcome it”                                                                                               Matthew 16:18

“Therefore=ENCOURAGE one another

And BUILD each other up

Just as in fact you

ARE DOING”                                                                                                          1 Thessalonians 5:11

I CAN'T BELIEVE that Jesus' DREAM

Of ONE CHURCH=has turned into over 40,000

Christian churches

I believe he WANTED ONE CHURCH

BUILT out of love=OUT of LOVE

Of God=and LOVE of others=TOTALLY

INCLUSIVE=and I am making that

MY DREAM

ONE CHURCH FOR GOD

ONE CHURCH for all!

Jesus CALLS us to work

With GRACE to bring GOD'S DREAM

To fulfillment

Make Jesus' dream YOUR DREAM=

One life=one love=TOTALLY INCLUSIVE

Of God's LOVE for all people

Let us BRING JESUS' DREAM

To fulfillment=BUILD THE DREAM
