HOLD ON=TO THAT HOPE!
Today we recognize
Jesus’ ASCENSION=into heaven=
What it must=have been like
For the disciples=TO GO ON
Without Jesus=but they did
We MUST go on too
HOLDING on to Jesus
In our lives=
Holding on to HIS SPIRIT
Just like the disciples
HOLDING ON=TO THAT HOPE!
“May the eyes=of your hearts
Be enlightened
That you may know
WHAT IS THE HOPE=
That belongs to his call……..”
Ephesians 1:18
I wonder=if the disciples
LOST HOPE=
That Jesus teachings
Would prevail THROUGH THEM
I wonder=if we lose hope
THAT Jesus’ TEACHINGS
Will prevail in us
HOLDING ON=TO THAT HOPE!
“He will guard
The feet
Of his faithful servants
But the wicked=will be silenced
In the place of darkness
It is not by strength
THAT ONE PREVAILS”
1 Samuel 2:9
I wonder IF the disciples
Could see=what the FUTURE
Held for them
I wonder if we=CAN SEE
What the future
Holds for us=IF
We don’t turn back to God
The disciples had yet
To receive=the Holy Spirit
SOON they would be reenergized
And empowered
By the SPIRIT OF GOD=us too
PENTECOST is coming!
HOLD ON=TO THAT HOPE!
“But those
Who HOPE in the Lord
Will renew their strength”
Isaiah 40:31
“Command those=who are rich
In the present world
NOT to be arrogant
Or put their HOPE=In wealth
Which is so uncertain
But to PUT THEIR HOPE
IN GOD=
Who richly provides us
With everything=for our enjoyment”
1 Timothy 6:17
The ASCENSION reminds me
To HOLD HOPE
Close to my heart
Let us=put our trust
AND HOPE in God=and Jesus
HOLD ON=TO THAT HOPE!
Just like the disciples
And we will be FULFILLED!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=0f HOPE in our ever LIVING
Holy Father God!
