TAKING UP THE CHALLENGE

 

Today Jesus tells us=

If he sends them-

RECEIVE THEM

In his name

 

But it is NOT so easy

To receive them

WHEN we don’t know=

Who they are

TAKING UP THE CHALLENGE!

Put to the test

 

“Amen-amen=I say to you

Whoever RECEIVES the one

I send=RECEIVES ME

 

And whoever RECEIVER me

RECEIVES the one

Who sent me”                                                                                                                 John 13:20

 

There you have it=

When we receive the

APOSTLES’ WORDS

When we receive

The WRITINGS of the evangelists

 

Whenever we receive-

WHOEVER comes in the name of the Lord

WE RECEIVE HIM!

 

“But you-

WILL RECEIVE POWER

When the Holy Spirit

Comes to you

 

And you will be

My witnesses=In Jerusalem

And in all Judea

And Samaria

 

And to the ends

Of the earth”                                                                                                              Acts 1:8

 

“For I RECEIVED

From the Lord=what I

Also passed on”                                                                                                   1 Corinthians 11:23

 

Webster’s dictionary defines receive

As to “ACCEPT=to let enter=

To give admittance to”

 

So we should receive GOD’S WORDS

And TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE

In PASSING the Lord’s words

On to others

 

REALIZE the challenge

That the Lord

Is passing on to you

 

Receive the challenge

And take it up

TAKING UP THE CHALLENGE

To pass the Lord’s word

On to others=in whatever way

That you can

 

“Remembering the words

That Jesus himself said

‘It is more blessed

To give=THAN TO RECEIVE’”                                                                                               Acts 20:35

 

“You are worthy-

Our Lord and God

 

To RECEIVE glory and honor

And power-

For you created all things…….”                                                                                          Revelation 4:11

 

The real action-

Of receiving others

Of RECEIVING the Lord’s words

Puts us to the test

 

Realize=TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE=

LIVE for the word

In Christ’s name

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER LOVING Holy Father God!
