BE AN EXAMPLE=OUR FIRST EXAMPLE

In today's world=WE=the modern

Day FOLLOWERS of Christ=the 21st century

APOSTLES of Christ=are called to LOVE

And be EXAMPLES of Christ

In this world

LIVE lives of love and forgiveness and

FOLLOW the BEATITUDES and commandments

Of Christ

Also today=we HONOR a CHAIR OF WISDOM=

The very first example=other than Christ himself=

Saint Peter

“Do NOT lord it over those

Assigned to you

But be examples

To the flock”                                                                                                  1 Peter 5:3

I am grateful for the gift

Of Saint Peter=our ROCK=our

First leader of the church

Thank you Saint Peter

For being the FIRST true EXAMPLE

Of CHRIST in this world

Peter=the LEADER of our church=

The first CHRISTIAN EXAMPLE

In the world for us

BE AN EXAMPLE=

OUR FIRST EXAMPLE

“But what abut you?'  he asked=

'WHO do you say I am?'”                                                                                        Matthew 16:15

“Simon Peter answered='You ARE the

MESSIAH=the SON of the LIVING GOD'”                                                                   Matthew 16:16

“Jesus answered=

'BLESSED are you=

Simon=son of Jonah

For this was NOT

Revealed to you

By flesh and blood

But my Father in heaven

And I tell you

That you are Peter

And on this ROCK

I will BUILD my church

And the gates of HADES

Will not overcome it

…...............”                                                                                                                 Matthew 16:17-18

Peter=our first=POPE=our

FIRST EXAMPLE of being

A great leader and CHRISTIAN

It is up to us to

FOLLOW HIM==and be EXAMPLES

For other CHRISTIANS in today's world

Like Peter=we are CALLED

To be an EXAMPLE too

“I have set you an EXAMPLE

That you should do

As I have done for you”                                                                                                John 13:15

“I am USING an EXAMPLE

From everyday life

Because of  

Your human limitations=

Just as you used to-

Offer yourselves

As SLAVES to impurity

And to ever-increasing wickedness

So now offer yourselves

As slaves to RIGHTEOUSNESS-

Leading to holiness”                                                                                            Romans 6:19

Yes Saint Peter was our first POPE

And great EXAMPLE OF CHRISTIANITY

Let us FOLLOW the signs

From his chair

The signs of his TEACHING

And UNITY

As we are CALLED to

Have FAITH and love the ONE LORD=

Jesus Christ 

Like Saint Peter=and the CURRENT POPE

Francis=let us be EXAMPLES

Of Christ=and of CHRISTIANS

In today's world

In Jesus' name and name of his DIVINE FATHER
