THE HEART=OF THE MATTER

 

LOVE was=AT THE HEART

Of everything Jesus did-and it was

AT THE HEART=of HOW

He felt about Saint Peter

 

AUTHENTIC LOVE=for Jesus in

ALL his relationships=Authentic love

ESPECIALLY for Peter

Authentic love=love is

THE HEART OF THE MATTER

 

“Jesus said to him=the third time=

‘Simon=son of John=do you LOVE ME?’

 

Peter was distressed that he

Had said to him a third time

‘DO YOU LOVE ME?’

 

And he(Peter)said to him(Jesus)

‘Lord=you know everything

YOU KNOW=that I love you’”                                                                                                        John 21:17

 

Do you NOTICE that=

Jesus NEVER asks Peter=if

He was sorry=and Peter

Never asks for forgiveness?

 

LOVE IS=AT THE HEART=OF THE MATTER

It all boils down

To just one question=”DO YOU LOVE ME?”

 

Authentic love=Authentic Jesus

Love=the CENTER=of who he was

Love=the center of EVERYTHING Jesus did

Love=THE HEART=OF THE MATTER

IN our relationship=between God and us too

 

“……..to hold fast

To him=and to serve him

WITH ALL YOUR HEART=and with

All your soul”                                                                                                                           Joshua 22:5

 

“Take delight=in the Lord

And he will give you=the desires

OF YOUR HEART”                                                                                                             Psalm 37:4

 

“Above all else=GUARD YOUR HEART

For everything you do

Flows from it”                                                                                                                          Proverbs 4:23

 

Jesus knew Peter

INSIDE and out=just the

SAME WAY=he knows us

 

And it all comes down

To just one question=”DO YOU LOVE ME?”

 

He already KNEW Peter loved him=and

He already knows=IF

We love him or not=by our ACTIONS

By our WORDS=and by OUR EXAMPLE

 

THE HEART=OF THE MATTER=for God

THE HEART OF THE MATTER for Jesus=is love

And it should BE

THE HEART=OF THE MATTER=for us too

 

It is=if we are AUTHENTIC

In our love=like Jesus is

 

“Blessed are the pure in HEART=

For they will see God”                                                                                                                   Matthew 5:8

 

“Now that you=

Have purified yourselves=by obeying

The truth=so that

 

You have sincere love=for each other

Love one another deeply

FROM THE HEART”                                                                                                              1 Peter 1:22

 

Jesus NEVER threw anything up

At Peter=he just asked Peter

“DO YOU LOVE ME?”

 

He will do the SAME

With us=”DO YOU LOVE ME?”

For Jesus’ love=is AUTHENTIC=and is

THE HEART=OF THE MATTER!

 

In Jesus’ name= and in the name=of our forever authentic=FOREVER LOVING=Holy Father God!
