WE BELONG TO EACH OTHER

 

WE BELONG=TO EACH OTHER

 

Today=we have a STORY=

That EMPHASIZES how much=WE BELONG

TO EACH OTHER

 

Jesus gives his Mother=Mary

To his BELOVED DISCIPLE=John

He knows he

Is NOT going to be able

To take CARE of her=ANY LONGER

 

“…….Jesus said to his mother=’Woman-

Behold your son’=then he said

To his disciple=’Behold your mother’”                                                                                     John 19:26-27

 

This FINAL act of Jesus=was

A profound gift=A PERSONAL GIFT

Of his MOTHER=to the disciple

Of whom he loved

 

BEFORE Jesus died=he gave

His earthly mother Mary

To his beloved disciple John=because they

And WE

 

BELONG TO EACH OTHER=and Jesus

Knew that=BETTER than anyone

 

“Dominion and awe=BELONG

To God=He establishes order

IN the heights of heaven”                                                                                               Job 25:2

 

“The nobles of the nation assemble=

As the people of the God

Of Abraham

 

For the kings of the earth

BELONG TO GOD”                                                                                                           Psalm 47:9

 

“As it is=You do not

BELONG to the world

 

For I have chosen you=

Out of the world=that is why

The world hates you”                                                                                                                John 15:19

 

I have TRIED

To BLESS other people=with my presence

When I could

 

But as I LOOK BACK

At my life=I CAN SEE

How God has used FAMILY MEMBERS

And friends=to keep me going

THE GIFT OF OTHERS

 

Keep us going=in this world

WE BELONG=TO EACH OTHER

 

God has USED OTHERS

In this world=and I HOPE

He has used me=TO HELP OTHERS TOO

On this JOURNEY=through this life

WE BELONG=TO EACH OTHER

 

“For everyone=BELONGS TO ME

The parent as well

As the child=both alike=BELONG TO ME”                                                                                    Ezekiel 18:4

 

“WHOEVER BELONGS TO GOD=

Hears what God says

 

The reason=You do not hear

Is that you=You DO NOT BELONG TO GOD”                                                                       John 8:47

 

“…….so in Christ=we=though many

Form one body=and each member

BELONGS TO=all the others”                                                                                                        Romans 12:5

 

Dear Lord=we pray

To you today=and ask you=to lead others

To us=so we can HELP THEM

 

We pray=that you OPEN OUR HEARTS=to

The people you bring us today=For

Like Jesus=John and Mary

And all the apostles=

WE BELONG=TO EACH OTHER!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING=leading and BELONGING=God the Father
