MARY=THE FIRST DISCIPLE=OF JESUS

 

MARY=THE FIRST DISCIPLE

(Of Jesus)

 

Today=Jesus tells us that

WHOEVER RECEIVES=the ones

That he sends=RECEIVES him also

 

And that the=very ONE

That he sent=Was his Mother Mary

He PERFORMED his very first MIRACLE

For her=At THE WEDDING AT CANA

 

“Amen=amen=I say to you

WHOEVER RECEIVES=the one I send=

Receives me……..”                                                                                                                      John 13:20

 

Mary was=JESUS’ FIRST DISCIPLE

And this month of May=IS

The month to honor her

 

She ACCEPTED God=she accepted

Her son Jesus=as THE ONE

 

“And Mary said’=

‘My soul=GLORIFIES the Lord

And my spirit rejoices

In God my Savior

 

For he=has been mindful

Of his servant……..’”                                                                                                     Luke 1:46-48

 

Mary was the first disciple=

She joined in=The DIVINE MISSION

Of Jesus=for the world

She was on a mission too=from God

Though NOT God like Jesus

 

JOIN me today=in honoring Mary

For her CONTRIBUTION=to Jesus’ mission

 

“HONOR=your father and mother

So that you may=live long

In the land=the Lord your God

Is giving you”                                                                                                                Exodus 20:12

 

“But now=the Lord declares’=

‘Far be it from me!=those

Who HONOR ME=I will HONOR=

But those who despise me=will be disdained’”                                                      1 Samuel 2:30

 

“For you have made them=

A little lower=than the angels

And crowned them=with glory=AND HONOR”                                                       Psalm 8:5

 

So join me today

And=this MONTH of May

IN HONORING MARY

 

She was on a MISSION too=a journey

Just like our Jesus=She Honored Jesus

And was his FIRST DISCIPLE

 

She was SENT=to be Joseph’s wife

And to visit Elizabeth=the mother of

John the Baptist

 

She was sent to Bethlehem=to Egypt

And back to Nazareth=she was FRIENDS

With the apostles=she was

THE FIRST DISCIPLE OF Jesus=Mary was

 

She was ON A DIVINE MISSION

From God=with her son=Jesus

THE FIRST DISCIPLE=and at the CROSS

When he died=How heartbreaking for her

 

Mary=his MOTHER=and his first disciple

IS still on a MISSION TODAY=with Jesus

INVITING US TO RECEIVE OUR GOD

 

In the name=of OUR DIVINE FAMILY=Jesus-Mary-and Joseph=and our FOREVER LIVING-LOVING Holy Father God!
