HE IS IN OUR CORNER!

 

HE IS IN OUR CORNER!

 

WE all have

A lot going on

In our lives=

It is very easy

TO GET SIDETRACKED

To what is important

In life

 

ONE thing that is

ALWAYS important to remember

Is that

God is IN our corner=

HE IS=IN OUR CORNER!

 

“And my spirit

CONTINUES in your midst”                                                                                              Haggai 2:5

 

A remnant of the JEWISH PEOPLE

Had just returned

To Judah=from their exile

In Babylon=they were exhausted

 

They were OVERWHELMED

By the destruction=they had seen

And what was ahead of them

 

The prophet Haggai

Has some very GOOD NEWS

From God

 

He is basically telling them

From God=

“I am for you…….

I AM IN YOUR CORNER…….

I am ON your team”        

 

And WHEN we get overwhelmed

In this world-

When we become fearful

 

God tells us=Jesus tells us

HE IS with us

THEY ARE IN OUR CORNER!

 

“The stone

The builders rejected

Has become the CORNERSTONE”                                                                                                    Psalm 118:22

 

“So this is what

The Sovereign Lord says’

 

See=I lay a stone

In Zion=a tested stone

 

A PRECIOUS CORNERSTONE-

For a sure foundation=

The one who=who relies on it

 

Will never be stricken

With panic”                                                                                                                      Isaiah 28:16

 

He is our cornerstone

He is=IN OUR CORNER!

 

God promises the Jewish people

That the GLORY

Of the new Temple

Will be even greater

Than the former one

I am here=they were CONSOLED

 

WHEN we feel exhausted-

When we feel overwhelmed-

When we are fearful

God is with us

God is for us=He really is with us

He really is=IN OUR CORNER!

 

All the way=UNTIL

The very end of time

 

“……..and teaching them

To obey everything=

I have commanded to you

 

And surely=

I am with you always

To the very end=OF TIME”                                                                                         Matthew 28:20

 

The Lord=really is

IN OUR CORNER!

 

If we truly believe this=

Our lives are blessed

And we LIVE

In a different way

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our always FAITHFIL LIVING FATHER!
