HOW WE GIVE=IS IMPORTANT TOO

 

Jesus and THE BIBLE

Teach us=a couple=of lessons

ABOUT GIVING

 

Of course=Jesus teaches us

About the IMPORTANT WIDOW=who

GIVES a little=but it is

A LOT for her

 

And=JUST AS IMPORTANT

Jesus teaches us=that WHEN

We give=to give CHEERFULLY

And with a SPIRIT OF JOY

HOW WE GIVE=IS IMPORTANT TOO

 

“With each contribution=SHOW a cheerful countenance

And pay your tithes=in a

SPIRIT OF JOY”                                                                                                                         Sirach 35:8

 

“Each of you should give

What you have=decided

In your heart

 

NOT reluctantly=or under compulsion=

For God loves=A CHEERFUL GIVER”                                                                                2 Corinthians 9:7

 

So today=we should ASK OURSELVES

Not just what we are giving

But how we=are GIVING it too

ARE we giving of ourselves

Freely and cheerfully?

JOYFULLY=and from the heart

 

HOW WE GIVE=of ourselves

IS IMPORTANT TOO

 

“A happy heart=makes the face=CHEERFUL

But heartache crushes the spirit”                                                                                             Proverbs 15:13

 

“All the days=of the oppressed

Are wretched=but the CHEERFUL HEART

Has a continual feast”                                                                                                                Proverbs 16:15

 

“A CHEERFUL HEART=is good medicine

But a crushed spirit=dries up the bones”                                                                                    Proverbs 17:22

 

SO HOW=you give of yourself

Is JUST AS IMPORTANT

As what you give

 

GOD LOVES THE CHEERFUL GIVER!

Go LOVES the man or woman

Who gives their gift=to him

WITH A PURE HEART

 

With a free heart=with

A JOYFUL HEART=HOW WE GIVE

IS IMPORTANT TOO

 

SOME of the questions I feel=I NEED

To ask myself are=

 

AM I doing=what I am doing

JUST out of a sense of duty?

Or am I=truly LOVING OTHERS TOO?

 

Am I doing it begrudgingly?

Am I =or are we DOING IT

Because we expect something=in return?

 

GIVE freely=and lovingly=and purely

God loves a joyful giver=

GOD LOVES A JOYOUS SPIRIT!

 

“The precepts=of the Lord

Are right=GIVING JOY to the heart

 

The commands of the Lord

Are radiant=GIVING light=to the eyes”                                                                                      Psalm 19:8

 

Our faith=CHALLENGES US

To give willingly=and with JOY=and

With a loving JOYFUL SPIRIT

HOW WE GIVE=IS IMPORTANT TOO!

Just as important as=how much we give

 

Dear Lord=we PRAY TODAY

That we GIVE willingly and cheerfully

With our SPIRIT=when we give=what we give

HOW WE GIVE=IS IMPORTANT TOO!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS JOYFUL GIVING HOLY FATHER GOD!
