GIVE YOUR LIFE=FOR SOMETHING BIGGER!

 

WE have our lives=to live=ANY which way that we want

We can CHOOSE to be SMALL=and live selfish

Little lives=CONCERNED with only our OWN INTERESTS

 

Or we can=LIVE BIG==by giving our lives=OVER to something

Like DEDICATING our lives=to the Lord our God=and to

THE LOVE OF OTHERS=”Herod feared John=Knowing him to be

A RIGHTEOUS and holy man=and kept him in custody”                                                            Mark 6:20

 

John the Baptist=whom we CELEBRATE TODAY=and his PASSION

John lived to=FIND SOMETHING BIGGER than himself=He was

ALL about the Kingdom of God and Jesus

 

What a harrowing-chilling story is=the story of John The Baptist=and

HIS BEHEADING=What COURAGE=it must have took for John=to hold on

To his IDEALS=when he knew=what was going to happen

 

FAITH is not easy=especially the KIND OF FAITH=John the BAPTIST HAD=If

It was easy=WE would all be SAINTS=”Have FAITH in God’=Jesus answered=’

Truly I tell you=if anyone says to this mountain=’Go throw yourself into

The sea’=and does not doubt=in their heart=but believes what

They say will happen=It will be done for them’”                                                                                      Mark 11:22

 

“I long to see you=so that I may impart to you=some spiritual gift

To make you strong=that is=that you and I=may be mutually encouraged=

BY EACH OTHER’S FAITH”                                                                                                                     Romans 1:11-12

 

“WE LIVE BY FAITH=not by sight=We are confident=I say=and would prefer

To be away=from the body=and at home with the LORD”                                                     2 Corinthians 5:7

 

We can SACRIFICE our life for God=in many ways=without dying

A martyr’s death=to be a SAINT=like John the Baptist=we can be

LIVING MARTYRS=giving our lives to=THE HOLY FATHER God and

Jesus

 

We can GIVE OUR WHOLE SELVES TO GOD=In Faith=by living

GOD’S WORD=In FAITH and deed=giving our lives back to God

Give your life=FOR SOMETHING BIGGER=giving IN FAITH=for

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

 

“…….We know that a person=is not justified=by the works=of the

Law=but BY FAITH=in Jesus Christ…….”                                                                                            Galatians 2:16

 

“But since we belong=to the day=let us be sober=PUTTING ON FAITH=

And love as a breastplate=and the hope of salvation=as a helmet”                             1 Thessalonians 5:8

 

“But my righteous one=WILL LIVE BY FAITH=and take no pleasure=

In the one who shrinks back”                                                                                                                  Hebrews 10:38

 

We CANNOT all be martyrs=like JOHN the Baptist=but we

Can be EXAMPLES=Just like John the Baptist=and his COUSIN our

Savior Jesus Christ=by GIVING OURSELVES to SOMETHING BIGGER

Than ourselves=LIVING BY FAITH=for the Kingdom of God=by loving

Our God=with all our hearts=and souls=and LOVING OTHERS

As ourself=Let us all live with=THE SPIRIT OF SACRIFICE=with

SELFLESSNES and love=for SOMETHING BIGGER=like the

KINGDOM OF GOD!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER LIVING=ever loving=ever

SELFLESS=Holy Father God!
