WAIT A LITTLE WHILE LONGER


Today we read
About the HEROIC MOSES


Who leads his people
To the PROMISED LAND
But sadly=does NOT
Get to LIVE in it himself


“I have let
You feast
Your EYES upon it


But you shall not
CROSS OVER” Deuteronomy 34:4


Very sadly=Moses doesn't get
To see the Promised Land


He did all the
Exhausting work=leading his people
Out of slavery


He encountered God
Face to face
He received
GOD'S COMMANDMENTS=
And suffered daily for
God's CHOSEN PEOPLE


But he doesn't get
To GO to the Promised Land


WAIT a little
Bit longer


He has to WAIT
To be with God
For his SUCCESS


Like so many of us
In this world
Who NEVER get to see
The fruits
Of our labor


“WAIT for the Lord
Be strong
And take heart
And WAIT
For the Lord” Psalm 27:14


“Yet the Lord
Longs to be gracious
To you


Therefore we will rise up
To show you compassion


For the Lord
Is a God of justice
Blessed are all
Who WAIT for him” Isaiah 30:18


Personally=I root
For Moses
I want
The GOOD GUY to win


We all
Want a HAPPY ENDING


But Moses has to WAIT
For his SUCCESS
For seeing God=
For encountering God yet again
FACE TO FACE


WAIT A LITTLE LONGER


This world
Is some hard stuff
PERHAPS God is telling us


That there is
MORE to this world
Than earthly satisfaction


“On one occasion
When he was
Eating with them


He gave them
This command


'Do not leave Jerusalem
But WAIT
For the gift
My Father promised


Which you have heard me
Speak about........'” Acts 1:4


My dear friends=
God loves ALL
Of our good efforts
Just LIKE MOSES


BE a good servant
Of God=and WAIT
JUST A LITTLE LONGER


There is a PLACE
WAITING for you
BEYOND THIS EARTH


In Jesus' name=and in the name of our EVER PATIENT-LOVING FATHER
