GOD LOVES THE POOR AND
DISADVANTAGED


Do you know-that-
GOD LOVES the disadvantaged-and
The POOR?


ALL you have to do-is
LOOK around at the kind
Of people that Jesus
Hung out with-
To know that


And the DISADVANTAGED breaks
down into three groups=
Orphans-widows-and aliens (or immigrants)


“........
The great God
Mighty and awesome
…......
EXECUTES JUSTICE for the orphan-
And the widow-
And BEFRIENDS the alien-
Feeding and clothing him” Deuteronomy 10:17-18


And James tells us
What TRUE RELIGION is


“Religions that God our Father
ACCEPTS as pure and faultless
Is this:


To LOOK AFTER orphans and widows
In their distress


And to keep oneself
From being POLLUTED
By the world” James 1:27


God LOVES the poor
And the DISADVANTAGED


In Israel-at that time-
ORPHANS had no one
To care for them


Widows had NO RIGHTS
Under the law=hence-CHRIST'S
GREAT COMPASSION for the widow


And immigrants were often
HINDERED by language-customs-
And unemployment


MAKES me wonder
WHAT we can do to help
The POOR and disadvantaged
Of our time


“My WHOLE being will exclaim
'WHO is like you Lord?


You RESCUE the poor
From those too strong
For them


The poor and the NEEDY-
From those who rob them'” Psalm 35:10


“WHOEVER is KIND to the poor
Lends to the Lord


And he will REWARD them
For WHAT they have done” Proverbs 19:17


“But WHEN
You give a BANQUET-


INVITE the poor-the crippled-
The lame-the blind=
And you-
Who are BLESSED


Although they CANNOT repay you
You will be REPAID
At the resurrection
Of the RIGHTEOUS” Luke 14:13-14


But what CAN we do
TODAY=to help the
Poor and the disadvantaged?


HELP OUT a single parent
By WATCHING their kids


DRIVE an elderly neighbor
To the DOCTOR=
Or INVITE her out to lunch


Or donate cash-or a meal-
To an immigrant family


And always=ALWAYS=be a
SOURCE of encouragement and INSPIRATION
To others


Whatever we DECIDE to do=God & JESUS
Are already THERE-helping-
BEFRIENDING those individuals


Dear Lord=EXPAND OUR HEARTS=to
HELP someone today


In the name of Jesus our LORD=
And HIS HEAVENLY FATHER
