FAITH=A SIMPLE WORD!
Today we read
About the MIRACLE=
Of Jesus’ HEALING of
The centurion’s servant
The centurion=in the story
Had BUILT a synagogue
For the Jewish people
So he KNEW all too well
That Jesus going into a
Gentile’s house=
Would make Jesus unclean
But he BELIEVED
Jesus had the POWER of God=
He believed=his servant=
Could be HEALED
By a simple word=from Jesus
FAITH=A SIMPLE WORD!
“And Jesus went with them-
But when he
Was only a short distance
From the house
The centurion sent friends
To tell him
‘Lord-do not trouble yourself
For I am NOT WORTHY-
To have you=enter under my roof……..
But say the WORD-
And let my servant=BE HEALED”
Luke 7:6, 7
What tremendous faith
By this man==what a MIRACLE
By Jesus=
FAITH=A SIMPLE WORD!
Jesus has the POWER
To change our circumstances too=
If we believe=
He gave me life
When it looked like
I had none
He has USED family and friends
To KEEP me going
All these years
I believed=just like the centurion did
KEEP BELIEVING=keep working
You just NEVER KNOW
When Jesus=will use his power
To CHANGE
The circumstances of your life
FAITH=A SIMPLE WORD!
But he can
Change your life
HE CHANGED MINE!
“As they set out-
Jehoshaphat stood and said
‘Listen to me-
Judah-and people of Jerusalem!=
Have FAITH
In the Lord your God
And you will be upheld
HAVE FAITH-in his prophets
And you will be successful”
2 Chronicles
20:20
“Therefore since we
Have been justified
THROUGH FAITH
We have peace with God
Through our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 5:1
The WORDS
The centurion said
Are very meaningful
Just as our words
That we say=in this world
Are truly meaningful
“I am NOT WORTHY
To receive you=but
Only say the word
And I will BE HEALED!”
FAITH=WHAT A SIMPLE WORD!
Faith=what a powerful concept
To BELIEVE
In the MIRACLES of Jesus
Jesus comes to us=
WHEN WE ASK
And he loves us=and can HEAL US
Just as he HEALED
The centurion’s servant
FAITH=WHAT A SIMPLE WORD!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER HEALING=God the
Holy Father!
