FOR THOSE IN PAIN

 

FOR THOSE IN PAIN

 

Today we RECOGNIZE Mary=

The Blessed Mother=who is

A true Lady of Sorrows=

And faced great pain

In her life

 

She is a FRIEND

To all of us

Who ARE IN PAIN

Physical-mental-and spiritual

 

“STANDING by the cross

Of Jesus=were his MOTHER

And his mother’s sister

 

Mary- the wife of Clopas-

And Mary Magdalene”                                                                                                          John 19:25

 

IF Mary could speak to us

She might tell us

 

That the physical discomfort=

She FELT from standing at the cross

For three hours=was NOTHING

 

Compared to the EMOTIONAL PAIN-

The interior pain=the piercing pain

Of seeing her son

Die on the cross

 

She understands

Our physical pain=

She understands our emotional pain

She understands

Our spiritual pain

 

SHE UNDERSTANDS all the pain

She felt it=she lived it

She is OUR FRIEND

In times of trouble

FOR THOSE IN PAIN

 

“Or someone

May be chastened

On a bed of PAIN

 

With constant distress

In their bones”                                                                                                                            Job 33:19

 

“A woman giving birth

To a child=HAS PAIN

 

Because her time

Has come=

But when her baby is born

She forgets the anguish

 

Because of her joy

That a child

Is born into the world”                                                                                                 John 16:21

 

Mary understands the pain

Of any PARENT

Who has ever lost a child

Mary understands the pain

Of a wife or husband

Who has lost a spouse

She understands it all

FOR THOSE IN PAIN

 

“No discipline seems pleasant

At the time=BUT PAINFUL

 

It produces a harvest

Of righteousness=and peace=for those

Who have been trained by it”                                                                                               Hebrews 12:11

 

Mary might TELL US

Her son was innocent=

That he was SUFFERING

For the sins of humanity

 

She might tell parents

That she UNDERSTANDS

Parents today

 

Who are undergoing pain=

As their children

Continue to suffer

She understands=FOR THOSE IN PAIN

 

“……..for the Lord-

Searches every heart

And UNDERSTANDS every desire

And every thought”                                                                                                         1 Chronicles 28:9

 

MARY’S LOVE for her son

Encourages us=she understands

EVERYONE IN PAIN

 

She endured it=she lived it

She loves us=For those

Of us IN PAIN

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS UNDERSTANDING Holy Father God!
