FROM DEATH INTO LIFE
It is STARTLING the way
Paul talks about death and life=
All because of Jesus=
Jesus CONQUERS DEATH!
So MANY of my close personal FRIENDS
Have lost relatives and friends recently=
It is deeply troubling=
We never=get OVER the loss
Of someone we LOVE
But there is HOPE for us all=
If we are believers=because of
The life and RESURRECTION
Of Jesus Christ
“He is the head of the Body=
The Church=He is the BEGINNING=
The firstborn from the dead” Colossians
1:18
We are used to thinking
Of the dead=as the ONES
At the end of life=
But Paul TURNS it around
He shows it to us=the OTHER WAY around
“The firstborn of the dead”
Death is NOT the end
For us=but it is
The REAL BEGINNING of life
FROM DEATH INTO LIFE
Because of Jesus=
There is HOPE for us all
Death is the BEGINNING
“IN THE BEGINNING-
You laid the foundations
Of the earth
And the heavens
Are the work
Of your hands” Psalm
102:25
“The fear of the Lord
Is the BEGINNING
Of knowledge
But fools despise wisdom
And instruction” Proverbs
1:7
“In the BEGINNING=was the Word
And the Word
Was with God
And the Word=was God”
John 1:1
Death is just the BEGINNING
OF LIFE for us
How do we know?
Because Christ has
BEEN RAISED from death=
And OPENED the path
To eternal life!
For us all
Jesus GIVES US HOPE!
We know Jesus is alive
Because of the EYEWITNESSES
Of the apostles=
And the consistent witness
Of the CHURCH-
Down through the years
FROM DEATH INTO LIFE=
Jesus is
HOPE for all of us
“Death has been SWALLOWED UP
In victory
‘Where O DEATH
Is your victory
Where O DEATH
Is your sting’”

We need CHRIST
We need the Church
We need EACH OTHER!
We need God
To show us
The way
FROM DEATH INTO LIFE!
