THE NEED TO BE FARSIGHTED

I feel disheartened

When I think

Of what my childhood BASEBALL CARDS

Might be worth

If I STILL

Had them

UNFORTUNATELY they got pitched

When I went away

To college

But the Lord is

Never short sighted=

He always has the

LONG TERM GOOD

Of his people in mind

The Lord is farsighted

Taking the LONG TERM VIEW

Of things

“You-O Lord

Abide FOREVER=

And your name

Through all generations”                                                                                            Psalm 102:13

Our God sees OUR

PROBLEMS=with this Corona virus

Right now=and all

Our other problems

But he is NOT thinking

In the SHORT TERM=

He is thinking 

Of the FUTURE

And how he

CAN BRING GOOD to his people

The need FOR US

TO BE FARSIGHTED=

The need for us

To THINK OF THE FUTURE

“Consider the blameless

Observe the upright-

A FUTURE AWAITS

Those who seek peace”                                                                                        Psalm 37:37

“There is surely

A FUTURE HOPE

For you

And your hope

Will not be cut off”                                                                                                 Proverbs 23:18

“For I am convinced

That neither death nor life

Neither angels nor demons

Neither the present

NOR THE FUTURE

Nor any powers-

Neither height nor depth

Nor anything else

In all creation

Will be able to

Separate us

From the love of God

That is CHRIST JESUS our LORD”                                                                         Romans 8:38-39

My dear friends=I urge you

To KEEP the faith

To be FARSIGHTED

With your life

You may NOT be

SEEING FRUIT right now

With your life=

With all the FRUSTRATIONS

Of the Corona virus

I urge you

KEEP THE FAITH=

God works out

All things to be GOOD

But it often takes

Time and faith

To FULLY RECOGNIZE IT

“........For it is time

To seek the Lord=

Until he comes-

And showers his righteousness

On you”                                                                                                                          Hosea 10:12

Take the LONG VIEW

With your life=sometimes

There is a NEED

TO BE FARSIGHTED

In the name of our Jesus=and our FATHER=who will consider all things AND TIME
