HATED WITHOUT REASON---LOVED
WITHOUT REASON
Have you ever
Been hated without reason
Because someone doesn’t like
your looks
Or you remind them
Of someone else
Or you try to say something
positive
Something complimentary
But your words are misunderstood
And you are never able to get past that
With that particular person
It has happened to me
I am sure that it has happened to you
It may surprise you to know
That this is exactly what happened
To Jesus Christ
2000 years ago
That IS EXACTLY what happened to Christ
Hated because
He didn’t look like
What they thought, THE MESSIAH,
Should look like
Hated
Because he could not---or WOULD NOT
Solve the economic problems of the day
Hated
Because he could not---or WOULD NOT
Overthrow the reigning army of the day
Hated---why
Because he brought PERFECT LOVE instead
I wonder
How we would respond today
In that very same situation
I shudder to say it
But I KNOW---in my heart
It wouldn’t be any different today
All we have to do
Is look at the way we treat one another
“All men
Will hate you because of me
But he who stands firm
To the end Will be saved”
Matthew 10:22
“But I tell you who hear me
Love your enemies
Do good to those who hate you” Luke 6:27
“The world and its desires
Pass away
But the man who does the WILL OF GOD
LIVES FOREVER”
1 John 2:17
“This is HOW
God showed his love among us
He sent his ONE and ONLY SON
Into the world
That we might live through him
This is love
Not that we loved God
But that he loved us
And sent his Son
As an atoning sacrifice
For our sins”
1 John 4:9 and 10
“But in your hearts
Set apart Christ as Lord
Always be prepared
To give an answer
To everyone who asks you
To give the reason
For the HOPE that you have” 1 Peter
3:15
God’s nature is love
God is madly in love with you
You are:
LOVED WITHOUT REASON
