CHALLENGING US!
Today we read about
Jesus’=INVITING the apostles
To give up EVERYTHING
In their lives=and
COME and follow him
He may NOT be asking us
TODAY’S MODERN DAY APOSTLES
To give up everything
But he is CHALLENGING US!
To make him=and God the Holy Father
NUMBER ONE in our lives
CHALLENGING! US!
“……..they left EVERYTHING
And followed him”
Luke 5:11
The apostles ABANDONED their lives
And everyone in it
To FOLLOW an itinerant preacher
Someone they did NOT KNOW
Through and through
They gave UP everything
Including their fishing nets
And boats=
WHAT are we willing
TO GIVE UP=to make Jesus
NUMBER ONE in our lives?
CHALLENGING US!
To come and follow him
“And he said to them
‘FOLLOW ME=
And I will make you
Fishers of men’”
Matthew 4:19
“FOLLOW after charity-
And desire spiritual gifts-
Especially prophecy”
1 Corinthians 14:1
“Remember those
Who have ruled over you
Who have spoken
The word of God to you
Whose faith YOU FOLLOW=
Consider their conversation”
Hebrews 13:7
What happened on a SHORE
2,00 years ago=is an EXAMPLE
Of what can happen
IN our lives=when we
CHOOSE God and Jesus
CHALLENGING US!
Be a WITNESS to Jesus
LIKE the early apostles
We do not need
A miracle=to lead us on
Even though
MANY of us=have experienced
MIRACLES in our life
Just follow Jesus
Just hold his hand
JUST FOLLOW HIM=he will
Direct your paths
Follow Jesus=he is CHALLENGING US!
To do so
“And when he
Called the people to him
With his disciples-he said to them=
‘Whoever comes after me-
Let him deny himself
And take up his cross
AND FOLLOW ME’” Mark
8:34
CHALLENGING US!=to make
God and Jesus=NUMBER ONE
In our lives=say YES!
We don’t have to
Walk AWAY from everything
The way the apostles did
We just have to
WITNESS AND TESTIFY
And be an example
FOR OUR FAITH!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name==of our FOREVER LEADING=Holy
Father God!
