THAT SAME MERCY!
Some of us
MEDITATE on the
Word of God=every day
That is what
The monks always did
That is
What I try and do
EVERY DAY=I try to
READ the Word of God
Both old testament
And new testament=staying in
The Word of God
Today Jesus tells us all
That God will measure us
In the SAME WAY
That we MEASURE other human beings
For some of us human beings
That can be
A REAL SCARY THOUGHT
“For the MEASURE
With which you MEASURE
Will in return
BE MEASURED out to you” Luke
6:36
Jesus also tells us
To LOVE OUR ENEMIES
That requires=A REAL CONVERSION
Of heart and a conversion
Of the soul
The truth is
WE ONLY LOVE GOD
As much=as we
Love OTHER human beings
Forgiving our enemies
BE MERCIFUL to others
And God will also
Be merciful to you
Not only that
But you
Will be called
A TRUE CHILD OF GOD!
“And the Lord passed by
Before him=and proclaimed
‘The Lord=The Lord God
MERCIFUL and gracious=longsuffering
And abundant
In goodness and truth’”
Exodus 34:6
“……..for I know
That you are
A gracious God=and MERCIFUL
Slow to anger
And of great kindness=a God
Who relents from=sending calamity”
Jonah 4:2
“Blessed are the MERCIFUL
For they shall obtain mercy”
Matthew
5:7
To obtain mercy from God
For our wrong doings=
We must EXTEND
THAT SAME MERCY!
To all others
Our God=is a MERCIFUL GOD
Dear Lord=we pray today
For merciful hearts
We pray that we
Are KIND AND FORGIVING
To all others=and MERCIFUL
“Go and learn
What this means
‘I desire MERCY
Not sacrifice’
For I have not come
To call the righteous
But sinners”
Matthew 9:13
Dear Lord=we pray
That we live
GIVING MERCY to others
So that we can obtain
THAT SAME MERCY!
