WORDS OF COMPASSION!
We USE WORDS
For all sorts of things
We use them for anger=
For jealousy=for gossip=for
ALL sorts of things
We should NOT
Be using them for
Words can DAMAGE
Words can hurt=words CAN
Set the whole world apart
I sometimes WONDER
If that is not WHY
Our world is IN
The state that it is in
At least=a little
“Consider how SMALL a fire
Can set a HUGE forest blaze=
The tongue is also a fire”
James 3:5-6
But our words can also BUILD UP
Words can also ENCOURAGE
We should use our words=FOR COMPASSION
Just like our Lord Jesus did
“But he=being FULL OF COMPASSION
Forgave their iniquity
And did not destroy them=
Many a time-
He turned his anger away
And did not stir up=all his wrath”
Psalm 78:38
“He will turn again
He will=HAVE COMPASSION on us
He will subdue our iniquities
And he will cast all their sins
Into the depths=of the sea”
Micah 7:19
“But when he saw
The multitudes
He was MOVED WITH COMPASSION
On them=because they fainted
And were scattered abroad
As sheep=without a shepherd”
Matthew 9:36
WORDS can be deadly
They can do damage
Lies hurt=anger hurts=jealousy hurts
They can do IRREPARABLE HARM
But if our words
Are used properly
They CAN HEAL TOO!
They can bless-prosper
And DEMONSTRATE LOVE
To our family and friends
WORDS CAN HEAL=if
They are
WORDS OF COMPASSION!
“Return=you backsliding children
And I will HEAL
Your backslidings
Behold-we come to you
For you are
The Lord our God”
Jeremiah 3:22
“The Spirit of the Lord
Is upon me
Because he has anointed me
To preach the gospel
To the poor
He has sent me=TO HEAL
The brokenhearted……..”
Luke 4:18
Dear Lord =we pray=help us
To pause=and be CAREFUL
With our words=BEFORE we speak
To use WORDS OF COMPASSION!
To build others up
And heal them
Like our Holy Father God and Jesus
