RIDE LONESOME

 

I watch a lot of

OLD WESTERN movies

On television=Lately

I have been watching

Randolph Scott movies=He was

ONE of my dad’s favorites

 

There was a 1959 movie

Called “RIDE LONESOME”

With a stellar cast=Pernell Roberts-

And James Coburn=to name a couple

 

But the TRUTH is

WHEN we are riding with God

RIDING with Jesus

We are never alone=

We are never RIDING LONESOME

When we are with our God

 

“And the Lord God said=

‘It is not good

That man=should be ALONE

 

I will make him

A helper=suitable=for him”                                                                                              Genesis 2:18

 

“And it came to pass

As he was ALONE PRAYING

 

The disciples were with him

And he asked them saying=

‘Who do people say

That I am?’”                                                                                                                            Luke 9:18

 

And the truth is

NONE of us

Are RIDING LONESOME

In this life

 

No matter-

What our circumstances are

 

For God=leaves none of us

ALL ALONE=he travels

With each and everyone of us

God does not

Jesus does not

Leave us lonely

 

“God sets the LONELY

IN FAMILIES

 

He leads out=the prisoners

With singing=

But the rebellious

Live in a sun-scorched land”                                                                                                      Psalm 68:6

 

My dad was

A GREAT FATHER

He never road lonesome

 

He always had his FAMILY

My mom=my two sisters=and me

And our EXTENDED FAMILY

 

Plus he had

A multitude of friends

And God and Jesus ALWAYS

 

He did

NOT have to RIDE LONESOME

 

“He made him

RIDE on the high places

Of the earth

 

That he might

Eat the increase=of the fields

And he made him

To suck honey

Out of the rock

 

And oil

Out of the flinty rock”                                                                                                                Deuteronomy 32:13

 

“You lift me up

To the wind

You cause me=TO RIDE

Upon it

 

You toss me about

In the storm”                                                                                                         Job 30:22

 

So we are NEVER RIDING LONESOME

Like those rugged cowboys

Of old

 

We are RIDING with the Lord

And Holy Father God

Who will CARRY us

All the way HOME

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=0f our Holy Living=Holy Loving Father God!
