EASY TO JUDGE?

 

EASY TO JUDGE

 

As Americans=we seem to

FIND it easier today=than ever

To JUDGE SOMEONE

 

But Jesus

Was NOT that way=

He was always

FILLED WITH COMPASSION

For his brothers and sisters

 

“MY HEART is moved

With pity=for the crowd

 

Because they have been

With me now=for three days

And have nothing to eat”                                                                                                Mark 8:2

 

We would be BETTER OFF

To emulate Jesus

And be filled WITH COMPASSION

For everyone

 

Than making SNAP judgments

About everyone

FILLED WITH COMPASSION!

Seeing God in everyone

SNAP JUDGMENTS?

 

“And blessed be

His glorious name forever

 

And let the whole earth

BE FILLED=with his glory

Amen and amen”                                                                                                        Psalm 72:19

 

“And I myself=am persuaded

Of you my brothers

 

That you are also

Full of goodness

FILLED with all knowledge

Able to admonish=one another”                                                                                Romans 15:14

 

According to this Gospel

Jesus did NOT SCRUTINIZE

The crowd

 

To determine

Who did=or did not

DESERVE to be fed

 

He just SAW A NEED

And filled it

BOTH physically and spiritually

He did NOT

Try and determine=who was acceptable

 

This seems to be

IN DIRECT CONTRAST

To us today=who find it so easy

To make IMMEDIATE snap judgments

About everyone=EASY TO JUDGE?

 

We need to

FILL ourselves WITH COMPASSION

For our friends and neighbors

Just like Jesus did

 

“The Lord will come

To JUDGE the earth

 

He shall=JUDGE THE WORLD

With righteousness

And the people==with his truth”                                                                                             Psalm 96:13

 

“JUDGE not=and you

Will not be JUDGED”                                                                                                         Matthew 7:1

 

I find it SO EASY

To judge people

On personal appearance

 

I have to=clean this up

CURE myself of this habit

 

We all have something

Or someone =who we JUDGE UNFAIRLY

It is easy to judge

EASY TO JUDGE?

 

Dear Lord=we PRAY

That you FILL US

With compassion for all people

Just like Jesus had

 

In Jesus’ name=and in in the name=of our FOREVER LOVING and forgiving=Holy Father God!
