BEING OF SERVICE=TO OTHERS

BEING OF SERVICE=TO OTHERS

The one thing=

All good people

Especially all SAINTS

Have in common=

Is that

They like to be

OF SERVICE=to others=

They DEDICATE their lives

To the BENEFIT of human kind

Jesus Christ was the

EPITOME of this=but then again

He was=he is=the SON OF GOD=

The least we can do

Is FOLLOW in his footsteps

To the BEST

Of our ability

“Rather whoever

Wishes to be great

Among you-

Shall be your SERVANT=

Whoever wishes

To be first among you

Shall be your slave

Just so=the SON OF MAN

Did not come=to be SERVED

BUT TO SERVE

And give his life

As a ransom=for many” Matthew 20:26-28

SO MANY of us

Want to be great

In this world=

But so many of us

DON'T KNOW

What it takes

To be great

It takes SERVING OTHERS=

It takes giving our life

FOR THE MANY

It takes

BEING OF SERVICE=TO OTHERS

“But as for me

And my household=

We will SERVE THE LORD” Joshua 24:15

“No one can

SERVE two masters

Either you will hate

The one=

And love the other

Or you will be devoted

To the one and

Despise the other

You CANNOT SERVE

Both God and money” Matthew 6:24

Today we HONOR ONE

Who gave her life

As a SERVICE to others=

Saint Katharine Drexel (November 26th, 1858 to March 3rd, 1955)

She was BORN

Into one of the

WEALTHIEST families

In the United States

She could have been

ONE of the rich and famous=

But she DEDICATED

Her life for others=

She UNDERSTOOD

The good news of the Lord

“SERVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY-

As if you were SERVING

The Lord=not people........” Ephesians 6:7

Katharine enriched the

NEEDS of education

With her life

BUILDING schools=for

The impoverished=most notably

African American=and Native American children

MOST of us are

Not wealthy=but we can

BE OF SERVICE to others

In some little way

LIKE thee LITTLE FLOWER

And Saint Katharine Drexel

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our always SERVING HOLY FATHER GOD!
