MORE THAN A STORY

 

MORE THAN A STORY

It is HOLY WEEK=and we

Are RELIVING the past once again=

The death=

And the RESURRECTION of Jesus

We have heard the STORY

So many times=that we think

It is just a story

But it is NOT=it is

REAL LIFE=Jesus really

Was TORTURED and sentenced

To death=for the sins

Of us all

He was crucified and he RESURRECTED

After three days-

He CONQUERED death=

And he walked the dirt roads

Of this earth=once more

Once again=

MORE THAN A STORY

“Six days before PASSOVER=

Jesus came to Bethany

Where Lazarus was=

Whom Jesus

Had raised from the dead” John 12:1

It is an old story-

But we are going to

Tell it again=

We are going to

KEEP telling it over and over again

UNTIL the world finally LIVES it

And believes it=

Jesus really is the

The SON OF GOD

More than=just a STORY

It was=it is

The REAL LIFE STORY

Of a man=the Son of God

Living and dying for our sins

“For we did not follow

Cleverly devised STORIES

When we told you

About the coming

Of our Lord Jesus Christ

In power

But we were eyewitnesses

Of his majesty” 2 Peter 1:16

“In their greed=these teachers

Will exploit you

With fabricated STORIES

Their condemnation=has long been

Hanging over them=and their destruction

Has not been sleeping” 2 Peter 2:3

THINK like you were there

With Jesus=like you

WERE PART of his life

You are SITTING with Jesus

And his friends=at dinner

You are WALKING with him

To Jerusalem=WITNESSING THE Lord

On the cross=and in time

SEEING the empty tomb

This is MORE than

Just a story=it is REAL LIFE

The real life of Jesus Christ

The real life of SALVATION

For you and me

“Show me Lord=MY LIFE'S END

And the number=Of my days

Let me know

How fleeting MY LIFE is” Psalm 39:4

Next Sunday=NEXT EASTER

We will be singing=for Jesus

We will be singing-for him-every day

EVERY EASTER=for him

Again and again=

From now=until the end of time

This was=MORE THAN A STORY

It was Jesus' life=

A life that NEVER ENDS

Dear Lord=we pray

Open our hearts

As we WALK with Jesus

This Holy Week

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVINFG FATHER!
