IT IS A HARD JOB=TELLING THE TRUTH

It is a HARD JOB

To tell the TRUTH=

But that is what a prophet=

Or SPOKESPERSON for God=

Is supposed to do=

Tell the truth

With love and CONVICTION=and

It COST Jesus his life

“There were many widows

In Israel........

It was to NONE

Of these=that Elijah was sent=

But only a widow

In Zarephath

In the land of Sidon

Again=there were

Many lepers in Israel

During the time

Of Elisha the prophet

Yet not one of them

Was cleansed=but

Only Naaman the Syrian” Luke 4:25-27

This is what Jesus had

To do=

In his FIRST act

Of public ministry=

TELL THE PEOPLE

Something they don't

Want to hear

THE HARD TRUTH

That God may FAVOR

A member of another tribe

Over them

A hard job=TO TELL THE TRUTH

But God CANNOT tell a lie

“God did this=so that by

Two unchangeable things

In which it is IMPOSIBLE

For God to tell a lie........” Hebrews 6:18

YES=it is a hard job

To ALWAYS tell the truth=

And it is a THANKLESS JOB too

Yes the truth is=Where

US HUMANS draw lines

Between us and them

God doesn't=sometimes

He even

FAVORS the outlaws

It is a LESSON

We learn

Throughout Jesus' ministry

He spends TIME

With women=tax collectors=

Roman soldiers=and even

Those unclean=for one reason

Or another

It is a tough=HARD JOB

TELLING THE TRUTH=

The job that Jesus had

“I have not said

To Jacob's descendants

'Seek me in vain=

I the Lord=SPEAK THE TRUTH=

I declare what is right'” Isaiah 45:19

The crowd cannot dispute

What Jesus says=

They become ENRAGED

And want to

ELIMINATE the truth-teller

Again and again=IN SCRIPTURE=

And in human history

We find out

That TELLING hard truths

Is very difficult

It is NOT APPRECIATED=and

COULD even get you killed

In Jesus' name=and in the name of OUR always TRUTHFUL FATHER
