HEALTH FOR OUR SOULS
For the last year=
People have been focusing=
Even OBSEESSING about COVID 19=
And rightly so!
COVID has dominated discussions=
And news cycles everywhere=
It has shattered the business world
And there have been
An OVERWHELMING number of related deaths
But Jesus says something TODAY=
That is just as CORRECT today
As it was some=some 2,000 years ago
“Do NOT SIN any more=so that
Nothing worse
May happen to you” John 5:14
You WONDER=what could
Be WORSE=for a man
Who has been incapacitated
For 38 years=just as
He has been
Indeed what could
BE WORSE
Than being DISABLED
For 38 years
The only thing worse
Would be DEATH
For our own souls
To spend ETERNITY IN HADES
And that is
WHAT Jesus is talking about here=
LIVING in eternity with Jesus=
And God our HOLY FATHER=
HEALTH for our SOULS!
“This will bring HEALTH
To your body-
And nourishment=to your bones” Proverbs 3:8
“Light in a messenger's eyes
Brings joy to the heart=
And good news
Gives HEALTH
To the bones” Proverbs 15:30
“On hearing this-
Jesus said to them
'It is NOT THE HEALTHY
Who need a Doctor
But the sick
I have not come
To call the righteous
But sinners'” Mark 2:17
And THAT is what
Jesus is talking about here
I would rather spend 38 years
With a handicap=and I have=
Than spend ETERNITY in Hades=
It is better
To have a HEALTHY SOUL
If we believe it=
The WARNINGS of Jesus
Wouldn't it make MORE SENSE
To worry about our
SPIRITUAL HEALTH=than COVID 19?
HEALTH for our SOULS!
Spending ETERNITY with Jesus
“Praise the Lord=MY SOUL
All my inmost being-
Praise his holy name” Psalm 103:1
“What good will it be
For someone to gain
The whole world
Yet forfeit their SOUL?
Or what can anyone give
In exchange for THEIR SOUL?” Matthew 16:26
Dear Lord=we pray
For healthy bodies
But MORE than that=
We pray for HEALTHY SOULS=
And spending our ETERNITY
With you
In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our EVER PERFECT HEALTHY FATHER!
