TAKE HEART=IN THE GOOD NEWS

Lent is a TIME for penance=

Lent is a time

For believing the GOOD NEWS

But more than that=it is a time

For BELIEVING that Christ came=

That he lived=suffered

And died for us=

And RESURRECTED

It is a time to BELIEVE

THE GOOD NEWS=that

God loves us=and ALWAYS

Wants us to be CLOSER to him

And he came

TO SAVE US

“For God did NOT SEND

His Son=

Into the world

To condemn the world-

But that the world

Might be SAVED

Through him” John 3:17

When we HEAR sermons

Or homilies=FOCUSING on

Our shortcomings and flaws

I wonder how MANY PEOPLE

Beat themselves up

For their FAILINGS

But we have to REMEMBER=

Jesus came to TAKE CARE

Of that=he came

TO SAVE US ALL=

Believe the GOOD NEWS!

The PASSAGE ABOVE

REMINDS us=that God

Really does

Want to SAVE us all=

To really and truly

TAKE HEART=

And believe the GOOD NEWS!

“How beautiful=on the mountains

Are the feet=of those

WHO BRING GOOD NEWS.......” Isaiah 52:7

“After John was put in prison=

Jesus went into Galilee

Proclaiming the GOOD NEWS

Of God

'The time has come'

He said-

'The kingdom of God

Has come near=

Repent and believe

THE GOOD NEWS'” Mark 1:14-15

I think God came to us=

So that his SON=could remind us

To TAKE HEART=

And believe the good news

So that Jesus could APPLY

A salve=to our aching consciences

And flogging hearts=

Jesus came to HEAL US

Jesus came to SAVE US

From ourselves

Take heart=

BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS-

Jesus came to

Bring us salvation

“Day after day-

In the temple courts

And from house to house

They never stopped teaching

And proclaiming the GOOD NEWS

That Jesus is the Messiah” Acts 5:42

God the HOLY FATHER=didn't send

HIS SON to condemn us

But to save us

TAKE HEART=

AND BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our HOLY PERFECT FATHER!
