NEVER BEFORE=NEVER AGAIN
Jesus was UNLIKE anyone
Who had ever-
Come before him
And he was unlike anyone
Who has ever
Come AFTER HIM
He is=one of a KIND!
“The guards answered
NEVER BEFORE=
Has anyone spoken
Like this one” John 7:46
When someone NEW comes along=
When someone DIFFERENT
Comes along=
People don't know how to act
Or to REACT=
For there is no one else
To COMPARE them too
I WONDER what the people
Were thinking about Jesus=
I wonder-
IF they had any IDEA
Who he really was
I wonder if they
Thought he was
A PROPHET
I wonder if they had
Any idea=he really
Was THE MESSIAH!
No=they said
The Messiah
Can't come from Galilee
Can he?
“Still others asked=
'How can the MESSISH
Come from Galilee?
Does not Scripture say
That the MESSIAH
Will come from David's descendants
And from Bethlehem=
The town where David lived?'” John 7:41
NEVER BEFORE=NEVER AGAIN
The most SINCERE assessment
In this story
Comes from the GUARDS
Who had just been
In his presence
When they were questioned
As to WHY=they didn't apprehend Jesus
They simply said
“NEVER BEFORE
Has anyone spoken=like this”
And no one else
Will ever speak
Like this again=
Jesus is=ONE OF A KIND!
The GUARDS had no
Preconceived opinions=
They spoke=ONLY
From the experience=of the moment
JESUS WAS THE MESSIAH!
He was=UNLIKE anyone else
Never before=never again
“And Jacob=
The Father of Joseph=
The husband of Mary
And Mary was
The mother of Jesus
Who is called the MESSIAH” Matthew 1:16
“The first thing=Andrew did
Was to find
His brother Simon=and tell him
'We have found
THE MESSIAH' (that is=the CHRIST)=
And he brought him=to Jesus” John 1:41
The guards WITNESSED Jesus=
And what they saw=told them
Jesus was UNLIKE=ANYONE ELSE
He is the MESSIAH!=
NEVER BEFORE=NEVER AGAIN!
And it is the SAME STORY
For us today=always=and FOREVER
In Jesus' name=and in the name=of OUR EVER PERFECT FATHER of love
