FAITH OVER FEAR

 

FAITH OVER FEAR

I REMEMBER=just like it

Was yesterday=January of 1977=

And being told=that I was NOT

Going to live

I remember making my FINAL CONFESSION=

And waking up=a week later

ALIVE!=but still fighting

For my life

God granted me a MIRACLE=

FAITH OVER FEAR-

God can do the IMPOSSIBLE!

But today is NOT

About me=it is about

Our GOOD MOTHER Mary=

And the FAITH that she had

Throughout her life

“But she was greatly troubled-

At what was said

And PONDERED=

What sort of greeting

This might be” Luke 1:29

ALL things are difficult=

Or seem to be difficult

In this world=

But with God the Father

And his Son=Jesus Christ

The impossible becomes POSSIBLE=

We just need to have

The FAITH=

To CONQUER our fears

FAITH OVER FEAR!

Mary was “GREATLY TROUBLED”

Mary was concerned=worried

Greatly DISTURBED

With Gabriel's invitation to her

Did that mean that

Mary lacked faith?

No-not at all

She RESPONDED mentally and emotionally=

Startled as ANY human being

Might be

The IMPOSSIBE being POSSIBLE

Mary even questioned out loud

“'HOW will this be?'=Mary

Asked the angel=

'Since I am a virgin?'” Luke 1:34

For all things

Are POSSIBLE with the Lord

All things are possible

When you have FAITH over fear

“He replied'=

'Because you have so

LITTLE FAITH

Truly I tell you

If you have FAITH

As small as a mustard seed

You can say=to this mountain

'Move from here to there'

And it will move

Nothing will be IMPOSSIBLE

For you'” Matthew 17:20

“But since

We belong to the day

Let us be sober

Putting on FAITH and love

As a breastplate

And the hope of salvation

As a helmet” 1 Thessalonians 5:8

After the questions and hesitations

MARY'S FAITH=

Was able to stand up

STRONGER than her fear

Her generous love=and TRUST for God

Overcame any fear

That she had about her CHANGING LIFE

Mary said “YES” to God

And made the impossible=

POSSIBLE for all of us

“Jesus looked at them

And said=with man

This is IMPOSSIBLE=

But with God

All things are possible” Matthew 19:26

I found that out PERSONALLY=

And 44 years of life later

I am STILL ALIVE

Mary's YES=made her life

POSSIBLE=and her FAITH

Made salvation possible=for all of us

FAITH OVER FEAR!

In Jesus name=and in the name of our MIRACLE MAKING FATHER!
