DIVINE FORGIVENESS

Jesus' crucifixion and death=

Caused him much physical pain=

But he also SUFFERED

Another kind of pain=and rejection

The pain of BEING ABANDONEN

In his time of NEED

“And they all LEFT HIM

And fled” Mark 14:50

Jesus' physical pain was much=

But it would be hard to imagine

HOW MUCH PAIN-

Being abandoned caused him

Jesus certainly UNDERSTOOD

The apostles' fear and rejection=

And he FORGAVE THEM

Just as he FORGIVES US

When we COMMIT the

Same sin

Over and over again

Just as he forgives us

When we TURN from him

In our most ardent TIME OF NEED

DIVINE FORGIVENESS

He forgave the apostles

He certainly forgives us

“The weapons we fight with

Are not the weapons

Of this world

On the contrary-

They have DIVINE POWER

To demolish strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4

“Through these

He has given us

His very great

And precious promises

So that through them

You may participate

In the DIVINE NATURE=

Having escaped the corruption

In a world=caused by evil desires” 2 Peter 1:4

After the resurrection=

Jesus appeared to the APOSTLES=

And through the GIFT

Of the Holy spirit=

The apostles=were CHANGED MEN

And they were able

To SPREAD the gospel message

FAITHFULLY=to the whole world

And Jesus forgives us=

And APPEARS to us-

Every day in our PRAYERS

And in our bible readings

DIVINE FORGIVENESS for us all

Because of

Jesus' MOST COMPASSIONATE HEART

He didn't hold the the apostles' REJECTION

Against them=

And he doesn't hold our

Sins against us=

Even though we keep committing

The SAME sins over and over again

“For the Lord your God

Is a merciful God

He will NOT ABANDON

Or destroy you

Or forget the covenant

With your ancestors

Which he confirmed to them

By oath” Deuteronomy 4:31

Where there is UNFAITHFULNESS-

There is the offer-

Of DIVINE FORGIVENESS

By our Lord

Then we become NEW AGAIN-

Just like the apostles

Let us BE GRATEFUL

For the loving divine forgiveness

Of God our FATHER

Who gives it to us

When we really need it

And CHANGES US

In the names of Jesus=and our ever DIVINE HOLY FATHER
