CATCHING GLIMPSES OF GOD'S KINGDOM

Today=Isaiah talks about

A NEW CREATION

Of universal happiness

With ample food=and

GOOD HEALTH for all=

Isaiah's WORDS are a

Stark contrast-to the usual murders=

Crimes=and all the DISEASES

In the headlines=of this WORLD

“Lo=I am about to CREATE

New heavens-

And a new earth” Isaiah 65:17

Is what Isaiah describes

POSSIBLE in this world?

I believe it is =but

It is a FUTURE-in-process=

A KINGDOM=not yet realized

Jesus SHARED this vision

Of Isaiah=Jesus called it

The KINGDOM OF GOD

And Jesus came to

Make this vision

A REALITY

He CURED physical illness=

But he also took away

Some of our other sins=

SELFISHNESS=pride=greed=and hatred

What a world it would BE

Without many of these=

CATCHING GLIMPSES

OF GOD'S KINGDOM!

“His KINGDOM

Is an ETERNAL kingdom=

His dominion endures

From generation=to generation” Daniel 4:3

“And the gospel

Of the KINGDOM

Will be preached

In the whole world

As a testimony

To all nations

And then=the end will come” Matthew 24:14

“The coming of

The KINGDOM of God

Is not something

That can be observed

Nor will people say

'Here it is'=or

'There it is'

Because the KINGDOM OF God

Is in your midst” Luke 17:21

Jesus said

The Kingdom of God

Was ALWAYS in our midst

And if we look hard-

We can see

GLIMPSES of God's Kingdom

In this world

Strangers helping strangers=

Selfless parents=Devoted nurses

And teachers and educators

And on and on=

There are MANY EXAMPLES

“The KINGDOM of the world

Has become=

The KINGDOM of our Lord

And of his MESSIAH

And he will reign

Forever and ever” Revelation 11:15

Dear Lord=we pray=teach us

To look for=and to see

GLIMPSES OF YOUR KINGDOM

In this world=and HELP us to do

Our own small part

IN building up=THE KINGDOM

In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our EVER PERFECT FATHER!
