UNITED WITH GOD IN LOVE
In today's readings=God ASKS us
For the
TOTALITY of our love
He asks us to LOVE HIM=
And all others=with our TOTAL
Heart=out total thought=
And all our STRENGTH
UNITING with God and all others=
Who want to
LIVE in total love
For our God
“Hear-O Israel!=The Lord
Our God-is Lord alone!........
'To LOVE him with
All your heart=with all
Your understanding=with all
Your strength
And to LOVE your neighbor
As yourself''
Is worth more
Than all burnt offerings
And sacrifices” Mark 12:29, 33
God is TOTAL LOVE himself=
And so is Jesus=
So it calls upon us
To try and UNITE with them
In that total love
“For if we have
Been-UNITED with him
In a death like his
We will certainly
Also be UNITED WITH HIM
In a Resurrection like his” Romans 6:5
“Therefore=if you have
Any encouragement=
From being UNITED with Christ........” Philippians 2:1
“My goal is that
They may be encouraged
In heart
And UNITED IN LOVE
So that they may have
The full richness
Of complete understanding.......” Colossians 2:2
When our hearts are DIVIDED
Among many different things=
It is almost IMPOSSIBLE
To love GOD and NEIGHBOR
With total love
But when we are
UNITED WITH GOD in love
For God and neighbor
We have ACCESS to
The INFINITE SOURCE
Of love=
God the Father=HIMSELF
Loving God and our neighbor
With TOTAL infinite love=
And our love IS EVERLASTING
“Before the mountains
Were born
Or you brought forth
The whole world
From EVERLASTING to EVERLASTING
You are God” Psalm 90:2
“.......but with EVERLASTING KINDNESS
I will have
Compassion on you=
Says the Lord your Redeemer” Isaiah 54:8
It seems like WHEN
We make a commitment
Of TOTAL LOVE=to God
And others=we would have
LITTLE left for ourselves
But that is NOT how love works=
The MORE you love=
The more LOVE you have to give
UNITING WITH GOD IN LOVE!
In Jesus' name=and in the name=of God=our EVER LOVING FATHER
