GOD IS WORKING IN US
Jesus CAME to this world
As a SERVANT=to WORK
For us= and to WORK IN US
IMAGINE the surprise and shock=
Felt by the apostles
WHEN he began
To wash their feet
At your service=
GOD-WORKING IN US
“Then he poured water
Into a basin
And began to WASH
The disciples' feet
And dry them
With the towel
Around his waist” John 13:5
They KNEW him as Jesus=
The CHRIST=
The worker of MIRACLES
And now here he was
Acting as their servant=
This Jesus=this is
OUR GOD=WORKING FOR US
Working in us
At all times
But this was God-
Doing what he had always done
SERVING US
It took us a long time to see-
But our God is
A loving-serving God
That is our God-
WORKING IN US
“And now Israel-
What does the Lord
Your God ask of you
But to fear
The Lord your God=
To walk in-to walk in obedience
To him
To love him=TO SERVE
The Lord your God
With all your heart
And with all your soul
And to observe
The Lord's commands
And decrees=that I am
Giving you today
For your own good?” Deuteronomy 10:12
GOD IS=WORKING IN US
And through us
WHEN I look at
My accomplishments
In this life
I SEE NOW
That it was NOT truly my own work=
But God=WORKING WITHIN ME=
Our God
WORKING WITHIN US
They were GIFTS
From the Holy Spirit=
Who put the FRUITS
Within us
“But the FRUIT of the SPIRIT
Is love=joy=peace=
Forbearance=kindness=goodness=
Faithfulness=gentleness=and self-control” Galatians 5:22-23
God=WORKING IN US=
Giving us the fruits
Of the Spirit=
To get the job done
Just like Jesus
Our being of SERVICE TO OTHERS
Without the HOLY SPIRIT
Guiding me/guiding us=
Our lives would NOT
Have taken the ROUTES
That they did
For God loves us=and wants us
To DO HIS WORK
Here on earth
If he stopped loving us=
We would CEASE to exist
GOD IS WORKING IN US=
By leading us=to be OF SERVICE
To others
In Jesus' name=and in the name of our FOREVER GUIDING FATHER
