AS WE ARE!

 

AS WE ARE

 

Eye sight is a

Wonderful thing=and those

Of us=who have it

Take it FOR GRANTED

 

But some of us=Like my

Friend-Ginny-don’t have it

Any more=what a GIFT

For those who have it

 

Today we read about

The wonderful story

Of Jesus meeting Nathanael

 

John the Evangelist=describes

How Jesus “SAW” Nathanael

Long before he beheld him

With his physical eyes

 

“Jesus answered=

‘I saw you=while you

Were still

UNDER the fig tree=

Before Philip called you’”                                                                                                    John 1:48

 

Jesus saw Nathanael=

Saw that he was good=as

We HOPE he sees us

 

And he sees us

AS WE ARE=physically-

Mentally-and spiritually

NAKED before God

 

Jesus sees into

Our hearts=and sees us

AS WE REALLY ARE

 

Nathanael= found this a little

Bit UNSETTLING=how about you?

How do you FEEL about

That Jesus sees you

Inside and out?

With the PURE VISION of God

AS WE ARE!

 

“So then=King Agrippa=

I was not disobedient

To the VISION=from heaven”                                                                                                     Acts 26:19

 

“Those who

LOOK at him are radiant

 

Their faces

Are never covered in shame”                                                                                                      Psalm 34:5

 

“The next day

John was there again

With two=of his disciples

 

When he saw Jesus

Passing by=he said

‘LOOK=the Lamb of God’”                                                                                                           John 1:35-36

 

We do NOT NEED

To fear Jesus

His HEART=is completely pure

 

May he say about us

What he said about Nathanael

“Here truly is an Israelite=

In whom there is NO DECEIT”                                                                                              John 1:47

 

Let us let

Jesus’ vision=PURIFY as well

Let him see us

AS WE ARE=hopefully with

A really pure heart

 

“The one

Who has clean hands

And a PURE HEART

 

Who does not trust

In an idol

Or swear by a false god”                                                                                                        Psalm 24:14

 

“Create in me

A PURE HEART=O God

 

And renew a steadfast spirit

Within me”                                                                                                                          Psalm 51:10

 

Dear Lord=

We come to you

AS WE ARE=faults and all

 

Please make us PURE

Like Nathanael=and make us

ONE of your MODERN DAY DISCIPLES

Following God the HOLY FATHER

And Jesus Christ

 

In the name of both of them=and their ALWAYS HOLY LOVE
