I think we all REALIZE

Jesus’ words

Can be VERY CHALLENGING

 

Who can FORGET=love your

Enemies=or FORGIVE 70x7?

 

And today’s TEACHING=

SELL all your possessions

To be PERFECT

 

“Jesus said to him=

‘If you wish to be PERFECT=

Go-sell what you have

And give to the poor……..

Then-come follow me’

 

When the young man

Heard this statement=

He went away SAD=

For he had many possessions”                                                                                            Matthew 19:21-22

 

Those of us

Who have MANY possessions

Find this teaching

VERY CHALLENGING

THE CHALLENGING WORDS OF JESUS!

 

Follow Jesus=FOLLOW

His teachings=you will

NEVER be sorry

 

“……..and TEACHING THEM

To obey everything

I have commanded you

 

And surely I am with you

Always to the

Very end of the age”                                                                                                      Matthew 28:20

 

“Anyone who chooses

To do

The will of God

 

Will find out

Whether my TEACHING

Comes from God=or whether

I speak on my own”                                                                                                       John 7:17

 

“Until I come

Devote yourself

 

To the public reading

Of Scripture=to preaching

And to TEACHING”                                                                                                          1 Timothy 4:13

 

Our possessions=allow us

To meet

Our BASIC NEEDS

Of our loved ones

 

YET a lot of us

OWN way more

Than we will ever need

Or use

 

THE GOODS of this earth

BELONG to all of us

THE CHALLENGING WORDS OF JESUS!

 

The questions become=

HOW can we be

FAITHFUL DISCIPLES of Jesus

With our possessions?

 

How can we use

WHAT we own

To love and SERVE the Lord?

 

Follow Jesus!

Follow HIS CHALLENGING WORDS!

 

“Surely your goodness

And love

WILL FOLLOW ME

 

All the days

Of my life

 

And I will dwell

In the house

Of the Lord FOREVER”                                                                                              Psalm 23:6

 

Dear Lord=help us

To USE OUR POSSESSIONS

To follow you

 

And PROMOTE you and

YOUR TEACHINGS=all the days

Of our life

 

THE CHALLENGING WORDS OF JESUS!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name of OUR ALWAYS TEACHING HOLY FATHER!
