YOUR APPROVAL RATING

 

How is your APPROVAL RATING

With your family=with your friends

And neighbors and all people?

 

MORE IMPORTANTLY=what is

Your approval rating with God?

 

In today’s gospel=Jesus’

Approval rating PLUMMETS=

The hometown crowd

Is CONVINCED they know

Exactly who Jesus is

 

They think they KNOW

Where he came from

And CANNOT accept

That he is anything more!

 

How about you?  Do people

Think you cannot=be anything different

Than exactly you have

Always been=YOUR APPROVAL RATING?

 

“……..no prophet is ACCEPTED in his own native place”                                                             Luke 4:24

 

But our Lord offers

A POWERFUL RESPONSE=

He didn’t try to=CHANGE their minds=

That BLIND them

To the greater possibilities

Of his life

 

He knew their hearts

He acknowledges their skepticism=

He speaks truth=and moves on

 

His CRITICS cannot define him=

He moves forward

WITH HIS MISSION

Despite their approval rating

YOUR APPROVAL RATING?

 

“Do your best

To present yourself

To God=as one APPROVED=

 

A worker=who does not need

To be ashamed=and who

Correctly handles

The word of truth”                                                                                                        2 Timothy 2:15

 

How about you?

Does CRITICISM=bring you down?

Do you let

The approval of others=influence you?

 

I suggest to you=all we need

Is the APPROVAL OF GOD=

And doing right=with our lives

 

Your approval rating?

THE APPROVAL OF GOD!

 

Go on with your MISSION

Go on with your life=

Just as Jesus did

To the very best

Of your ability

 

I appreciate Jesus’ APPROACH=

Your worth is NOT MEASURED

By community acceptance

Or mass popularity

Your worth is=DETERMINED BY GOD

 

“So don’t be afraid=

You are WORTH more

Than many sparrows”                                                                                                                      Matthew 10:31

 

“These have come

So that=the proven genuineness

Of your faith---------

 

Of greater WORTH than gold-

Which perishes even though

Refined by fire--------

 

May result in praise-

Glory-and honor

When Jesus Christ is revealed”                                                                                             1 Peter 1:7

 

Jesus CALLS each of us

To a MISSION

With our unique talents

 

Don’t let your

APPROVAL RATING get you down=

AFFIRM your mission

With your God given gifts

 

ONLY OUR APPROVAL RATING

From God=is what truly matters

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name of our EVER APPROVING HOLY FATHER!
