DON’T FORGET THE SOURCE!

 

As we get older=

We tend to FORGET THINGS=

At least I do

 

But I always

Try not to forget

The SOURCE=God

Our Holy Father!

 

I always try and REMEMBER

All the GOOD things

He has given me=

Including LIFE ITSELF

 

“……..take care

NOT TO FORGET the Lord……..”                                                                                    Deuteronomy 6:12

 

WHILE we forget some things

It is IMPORTANT

We don’t forget the really important things

 

At the time

Of covenant renewal

The people of Israel

 

Are reminded of

ALL the goods=of the PROMISED LAND

That are theirs

But only as=GIFTS FROM GOD

 

We too=have many gifts from God

TRY not to forget=

Remembering our SOURCE OF LIFE!

 

“Praise the Lord my soul

And FORGET

Not all his benefits--------”                                                                                                                   Psalm 103:2

 

“Can a mother

FORGET the baby=at her breast

 

And have no compassion

On the child=she has borne?

 

Though she may FORGET=

I will NOT FORGET YOU”                                                                                                         Isaiah 49:15

 

“God is not unjust=

He will NOT FORGET

Your work=and the love

 

You have shown him

As you have helped

His people=and continue

To help them”                                                                                                                             Hebrews 6:10

 

And I will=NEVER FORGET=

The SOURCE of my life

Or any of your all

 

And HOW you all

HAVE HELPED me

To make life worthwhile

 

The more ACTIVE we are=

The more consumed we are

By our own activities

And the stuff=that FILLS OUR LIFE

 

The greater the RISK

Of us

FORGETTING THE SOURCE=of everything good

 

DON’T FORGET THE SOURCE

From where all good things come

Don’t forget the source=

Our HOLY FATHER GOD!

 

“……..and once made perfect

He became the SOURCE

Of eternal salvation

For all who obey him

 

And was designated by God

To be high priest=in the order

Of Melchizedek”                                                                                                       Hebrews 5:9-10

 

MAYBE that is the silver lining

Of aging=we forget some things

 

But we REMEMBER GOD

The Holy Father=and who and what

IS IMPORTANT in our lives

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ALWAYS REMEMBERING HOLY FATHER God!
