CHOOSING TO SERVE GOD=EVERY DAY!

 

EVERY DAY=when we wake up=

We have to CHOOSE

On how we are

Going to live OUR LIFE

 

Are we going to FOLLOW

The laws of God=or are we

Going to find and follow

The laws of this world?

Are we going

To SERVE the Lord?

CHOOSE EVERY DAY!

 

“If it

Does not please you

To SERVE the Lord

 

Decide today

Whom you will SERVE…….

 

As for me=and my household=

We will=SERVE THE LORD!”                                                                                        Joshua 24:15

 

Joshua lays out

The case=for the Israelites

 

The CASE=for following God

The REAL GOD=versus following

The false gods and their ancestors

 

But Joshua didn’t

Demand their conversion=nor

Does he threaten them

 

He simply STATES

What he is going to do=

And the consequences=IF

You do not serve God well

 

I am choosing to SERVE GOD today=

How about you?=Who are you

Going to serve-today?-tomorrow-

And all the days to come?

 

CHOOSING to serve God=

Each and every day

Of our lives!

 

“Keep this

Book of the Law

Always on your lips

 

Meditate on it

DAY and night=

So that you may be careful

To do everything

Written in it=

The you will be prosperous=and successful”                                                                    Joshua 1:8

 

“Do not boast about tomorrow=

For you do not know

What a DAY will bring”                                                                                                       Proverbs 27:1

 

“Now the Berean Jews

Were of more noble character

Than those in Thessalonica

 

For they received=the message

With great eagerness

And examined the Scriptures

EVERY DAY to see

If what Paul said =was true”                                                                                                  Acts 17:11

 

We FACE that choice

Every day=sometimes several times

A day=are we going

TO SERVE God and love-

Or our own selfish desires?

 

We are SERVING God=

When we TURN

The other cheek=when we are

Ridiculed or ignored

 

When we SHARE

A smile=with someone else=

Will we share a few dollars

With someone in NEED?

 

Will we PRAY to God

With love=for others

Every day?

 

Not just our family and friends=

But those who=

Don’t even like us very much

 

“…….just as

The Son of Man=did not come

To be served

 

BUT TO SERVE=

And to give his life

As a ransom for many”                                                                                                          Matthew 2:28

 

Dear Lord=please help us=

TO SERVE YOU=as we

Navigate our choices today

And every day=of our lives

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=

Of our EVER SERVING=ever loving=Father God
