We live in= a WEALTHY COUNTRY=we live

IN a wealthy world=We have so MUCH=why do

We NOT want to let others=have the LEAST LITTLE BENEFITS?

 

Today=Jesus is TEACHING the disciples and us=an IMPORTANT

LESSON=and us=How HARD it is=for a rich man=to ENTER

The kingdom of heaven=and he gives us=A BIZARRE EXAMPLE

About a camel=and an eye of A NEEDLE=”Then Jesus said to his disciples=

‘Truly I tell you=it is HARD for someone who is rich=to enter

The kingdom of heaven

 

Again I tell you=It is EASIER for a camel=to go THROUGH the eye=

Of a needle=than for someone=WHO IS RICH=to enter the

Kingdom of God’”                                                                                                                                     Matthew 19:23-24

 

When we are RICH=by earthly standards=we have a RESPONSIBILITY

That goes along with it=a responsibility that REQUIRES US=to help

Those who are less fortunate=the POOR and the marginalized

 

We NEED to help others=and we need to FOCUS less on=personal

Riches= and MORE on=THE RICHES of God=and his graces=FOCUSING ON=

THE RICHES OF GOD

 

“Cast but a glance=AT RICHES=and they are gone=for they will

Surely sprout wings=and fly off=to the sky=Like an eagle”                                                 Proverbs 23:5           

 

“This is what the Lord says’=’Let not the wise boast=of their

Wisdom=or the strong=boast of their strength=OR THE RICH=

Boast of their riches’”                                                                                                                    Jeremiah 9:23

 

“For you know=The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ=that though

He WAS RICH=Yet for your sake=he became poor=so that you

Through his poverty=MIGHT BECOME RICH”                                                                     2 Corinthians:8-9

 

Jesus gave everything=he had for you=The RICHNESS of

His graces=of his faith=and he brought us LESSONS=on how

Hard it is=for the rich=to get into heaven=FOCUS LESS on material

Wealth=and MORE ON=THE RICHES OF GOD!

 

IF=we focus on God’s grace=we can=HELP ONE another=and

Make it into the KINGDOM OF GOD=of heaven with Jesus=and our

Holy Father God=we are BLESSED ABUNDANTLY and we should help

Each other=in this world

 

“The Lord will grant you=ABUNDANT PROSPERITY=-------in the

Fruit of your womb=the young of your livestock=and the crops of

Your ground-------in the land he swore=to your ancestors to give you”                  Deuteronomy 28:11

 

“They celebrate=YOUR ABUNDANT GOODNESS=and joyfully sing

Of your righteousness”                                                                                                             Psalm 145:7

 

“For if=by the trespass=of the one man=death reigned=through

That one man=how much more=will those who receive=GOD’S

ABUNDANT PROVISION of grace=and of the gift of righteousness=

Dear Lord=we PRAY=that you help us to FOCUS ON you=and

THE RICHNESS OF GOD’S grace=and THE HOLY FATHER GOD=and

NOT so much on material wealth in this world

 

Dear LORD=we thank you=for each NEW DAY=and the opportunity

To get it RIGHT TODAY!

About 22 years ago=I moved to SOUTH FLORIDA=with

MY MOM=to be NEAR my sister Terri=after my dad died

 

For those of you=who don’t know=I will BE COMING HOME to

Pittsburgh=to live again=IN BELLEVUE, Pa.,=”These commandments that

I give you today=are to be on your hearts=Impress them on your children=

Talk about them=when you SIT AT HOME=and when you walk along the road=

WHEN you lie down=and when you get up”                                                                              Deuteronomy 6:6-7

 

In SOUTH FLORIDA=I found people=who TREATED me=with

Love and respect=I found churches that made me=PART of their

Flock=and I found Doctors=who took CARE of all of my

Medical needs=In South Florida=I found a SECOND HOME

To me=but it is TIME to come home to MY FIRST REAL HOME

THE JOURNEY HOME!!

 

“Even the sparrow=HAS FOUND A HOME=and the swallow

A nest for herself=where she may have her young=-------a place

Near your altar=Lord Almighty=my King and my God”                                                                  Psalm 84:3

 

“The Lord’s curse=is on the house of the wicked=but he blesses

There is a SAYING that goes=”You Can’t go home again”=and

Jesus found that to be TRUE=but nevertheless=I AM COMING HOME!=

Memories of my sisters=an cousins=and family=and childhood friends=

 

The place=WHERE I FIRST found God=and love=the place

WHERE I first loved family and friends=That place where

THE LOVE=in my heart comes from=SOMEPLACE SPECIAL!=Ready

To take=THE JOURNEY HOME!

 

I will be TRAVELING LIGHT!=just the love I have in my heart for all=

Just the SCRIPTURES=and the WORD OF GOD=living in MY HEART

LIVE in a MATERIALISTIC SOCIETY

 

Houses=cars=and each of them=FILLED UP with

Lots of stuff=”If you wish to be PERFECT=sell what

You have=and give to the POOR=and you will have=TREASURE

IN HEAVEN=then come=FOLLOW ME”                                                                                  Matthew 19:21

 

I am LIKE the rich young man=I WANT to follow Jesus=but

I am not sure=I want to get rid of=ALL MY STUFF=our stuff=our

POSSESSIONS=Can GET IN THE WAY=of our FOLLOWING

The Lord=OUR POSSESSIONS

 

Are a statement about ourselves=we would rather SPEND MONEY

On ourselves=than give money=to the BENEFIT of the poor and the

Marginalized= but our stuff=

CAN GET IN OUR WAY+OUR STUFF=can get in our way=and make us less able

And WILLING=to follow Jesus=and our Holy Father God!

 

“Then Jesus said to the’=’Watch out!=Be on guard=against all kinds

Of greed=Life does not consist of an abundance OF POSSESSIONS’”                         Luke 12:15

 

“Now I am ready=to visit you for the third time=and I will not be

A burden to you=Because what I want=is NOT your POSSESSIONS=

“IF anyone=has MATERIAL POSSESSIONS=and sees a brother or

But when we are=GOD CENTERED=when we are CENTERED IN

THE GOD OF LOVE=we can make those decisions=and we CAN

Get through them=”Therefore=do not continue=IN IGNORANCE=

But try to UNDERSAND=what is the WILL=of the Lord”                                                          Ephesians 5:17

 

Sometimes=we have to PAUSE=take a step BACK=and get

Clear thinking=sometimes=we have to GET GOD CENTERED=IN

THE GOD OF LOVE=and figure out=GOD’S WILL=before making

SOMETIMES=that is EXACTLY that way=and that is WHEN=we have

Is when we find=OUR OWN DIVINE INSPIRATION=in the love and

WHEN you are overly concerned=with our own outward appearance=

We would do anything=to MAINTAIN OUR LOOKS=starve=diet= plastic

Surgery=anything to MAINTAIN OUR LOOKS

 

It is GREAT=to have physical beauty=but we should NEVER let that=

Become our end all=because real beauty=REAL LOVE=real worth

COMES FROM DEEP WITHIN!

 

“One thing=I ask=from the Lord=this only I seek=that I may

Dwell=in the house of the Lord=all the days of my life=to gaze

ON THE BEAUTY=of the Lord”                                                                                                   Psalm 27:4

OUR LOOKS can and do=REAL BEAUTY COMES FROM DEEP WITHIN!

THE HIGHWAY TO NOWHERE

 

 

I’m on a highway to nowhere

Sometimes don’t even know where I’m coming from

Sometimes I don’t even care

Because I know where I’m at

And that is all I need

To curb my inner fears

 

You got to run your own race

You’re not in competition with anyone

So set your own pace

There’s miles to go before it’s over

So just relax

And along the way have some fun

 

Back on the highway to nowhere

All the cars go flying by

I’m tempted to try to pick up the pace

But then I let it slide

I’m just trying to stay within myself

I’m not reaching for the sky

 

The highway to nowhere

Where does it begin

Where does it end

How many of us know where we are going

How many of us know where we’ve been

 

I’ve been on the highway to nowhere
Too many times in my life

I’ll be on the highway to nowhere

Probably too many times again

But right now I’m in the pits

Charting a highway to somewhere

So I know where I’m at

And that’s all I need

To curb my inner fears

 

You have to run your race

You have to set your own pace

Today=AUGUST 15^th, 2024=is the FEAST of the ASSUMPTION=

We have the Holy Father God=and his Son Jesus Christ=but we

Have a HEAVENLY MOTHER TOO!=Mary=the BLESSED MOTHER=

Our ETERNAL MOTHER=for all of us=”The woman herself fled=into

The dessert=where she had a place=PREPARED BY GDD”                                              Revelation 12:6

 

THE ASSUMPTION of Mary=RECALLS what our Heavenly Father God=

Did For Mary=the Mother of his Son=and for Jesus=Mary=our QUEEN

Of heaven and earth=He PRESERVED HER from original sin=at her

Conception=and he did NOT allow her to see=the corruption of death=

She was brought=BODY AND SOUL=in to ETERNAL GLORY=with the

Holy Father and Jesus=WE HAVE A HEAVENLY MOTHER TOO!

 

“Honor your father=and your MOTHER=so that you may live long=

In the land=the Lord God=is giving you”                                                                                   Exodus 20:12

 

“He settles the childless woman=in her home=as a

HAPPY MOTHER of children”                                                                                                     Psalm 113:9

 

“AS A MOTHER=comforts her child=so will I comfort you=

And you will be comforted=over Jerusalem”                                                                         Isaiah 66:13

 

Mary is QUEEN=Of heaven and earth=and she takes on=

A PRAYING ROLE=in HEAVEN too=She was with Jesus=as he

Was crucified=and she TRAVELED with=and prayed with

The apostles=as they evangelized the world=SHARING the

GOOD NEWS=of the Lord=She NOW

 

INTERCEDES for all of us=here on earth=and PRAYS for us all too=as

We TRY and COMPLETE=the apostles mission here on earth=We all have

A HEAVENLY MOTHER TOO=Mary rests in HEAVEN=with the Holy Father God=

And her Son Jesus=as they ALL=pray for all of us

 

“……..if my people=who are called by my name=will humble

Themselves=and pray=and seek my face=and turn=from their

Wicked ways=then I will HEAR FROM HEAVEN=and I will forgive=

Their sin=and will heal their land”                                                                                                      2 Chronicles 7:14                                      

 

“I will give you=the keys=of the kingdom OF HEAVEN=whatever

You bind on earth=will be BOUND IN HEAVEN=and whatever you

Loose on earth=will be LOOSED IN HEAVEN”                                                                          Matthew 16:19

 

“For we know=that if the earthly tent=we live in=is destroyed=We

Have a building from God=an eternal house=IN HEAVEN=not built

By human hands”                                                                                                                                       2 Corinthians 5:1

 

And in this HEAVENLY HOME=in addition to the Holy Father God=

And Jesus=IS OUR MOTHER Mary=the Mother of us all=OUR QUEEN=

WE have=A HEAVENLY MOTHER TOO!

 

She spends her TIME IN HEAVEN=COMPLETING her WORLDLY

Mission of LOVE=by praying for us=as we complete out

EARTHLY MISSION=Dear Holy Mother of God=PLEASE PRAY

For us now=and at the HOUR of our death=amen=WE HAVE

A HEAVENLY MOTHER TOO!               

 

In the names=of Jesus=Mary=and Joseph=and the Holy Mother of God!

Are you a Christian?

Are you a practicing Christian?

If so-where are you at in your search

To find God

In your life

To find God

In others

 

What is your story?

What is your testimony?

Are you seeing God in your life?

In others?

In your neighbor?

Even in your enemies?

Even in the bad things

That happen in your life?

 

Because my friend

God is everywhere

He is everyone

He is everything

 

Because my testimony-my friend

Is that GOD is in you

God is in me

 

Every time you love someone

Every time you forgive someone

Every time you perform an act of kindness for someone

You are acting like God

 

Whoever you are

I want you to know that

 

GOD LOVES YOU

Do you INVITE OTHERS=to PRAY with you?=Do you

Tell others=”I WILL PRAY FROR YOU?”

 

IF you are talking=about a problem=or about a

DIFFICULT SITUATION=or someone=who IS SUFFERING=

Do you give then HELP and encouraging words?=Do you

GIVE your needs to God=right there?=Do you pray for them?=

Do you tell them=”I WILL PRAY FOR YOU?=”…….If two of you

AGREE on earth=about anything-for which they=ARE TO PRAY=

It shall be granted to them=by my Heavenly Father”                                                                   Matthew 18:19

 

The NEXT TIME=you are in a conversation=with someone=

IN NEED=do not be afraid=to tell them=or ask=”Would you

Like me=TO PRAY ABOUT IT?”=”WOULD you like me=to

PRAY FOR YOU?”

 

If they sat NO=It is OK=smile=SHAKE their hands=and say a

LITTLE PRAYER to yourself=for them anyway=It cannot hurt=

ONLY HELP=God will remember them

 

“REMEMBER THE WONDERS=he has done=his miracles=and

The judgments=he pronounced”                                                                                                 1 Chronicles 16:12

 

“REMEMBER your Creator=in the days of your youth=Before

The days of trouble come=and the years approach=when you will

Say=’I find no pleasure in them’”                                                                                                     Ecclesiastes 12:1 

 

“I thank my God=every time=I REMEMBER YOU=In all MY PRAYERS

For all of you=I always PRAY WITH JOY=because of your partnership=

In the gospel=from the first day until now…….”                                                                        Philippians 3:3-5

 

And if they=SAY YES=I would like your prayers=KEEP YOUR PROMISE

And pray for them=You have BECOME their intercessor=Be a friend=

BE A PRAYER WARRIOR=Pray out loud with them=HOLD their hand=

If they like=Say it=do  it=I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU!

 

“What other nation=is so great=as to have their gods near them=the way

The Lord=Our God is near us=whenever WE PRAY to him?”                                                Deuteronomy 4:7

 

“By day=the Lord directs his love=at night=his song is with me=

-----------A PRAYER=to the God of my life”                                                                                      Psalm 42:8

 

“But I tell you=Love your enemies=and PRAY for those who

Persecute you”                                                                                                                                      Matthew 5:44

 

Always PRAY for others=Always bring others’ needs right

To God for them=Never be afraid to say to them=”I WILL PRAY

FOR YOU”=for what better way can we SHOW someone else

That we LOVE THEM=than to say PRAYERS OF CONSEQUENCE for=

Another human being=OFFER your prayers up=for someone else

 

“The Lord heard my cry=for mercy=the Lord ACCEPTS MY PRAYER”                                         Psalm 6:9

 

“HEAR MY PRAYER=Lord=listen to my cry for mercy”                                                               Psalm 86:6

 

And so my dear FAMILY and friends=and all others=Please know

TODAY=that whatever your needs are=and whatever difficulties that=

You have=or are facing=please know=I WILL PRAY FOR YOU=Please

Know=I said A PRAYER FOR YOU!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name= of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving=

Forever PRAYING=Holy Father God!
