OUR ONE TRUE GREAT TREASURE=JESUS IS

 

 

 

 

 

 

OUR ONE TRUE GREAT TREASURE=

Jesus IS

 

We all=LIKE OUR TREASURES=especially those

BURIED HIDDEN TREASURES=that we do NOT KNOW

We have=But there is ONE TRUE TREASURE=that we

Have in ALL TIMES=both good and bad=Jesus Christ=the

SON of God=and his Holy Father God=OUR FOREVER
ONE TRUE GREAT LASTING TREASURE!=”The kingdom

Of heaven=is like a TREASURE=buried in a field…….”                                                              Matthew 13:44

 

There is a Saint today=that we HONOR=who is not hidden=

But=HE IS A TREASURE=Saint Ignatius of Loyola=He was the

FOUNDER of the Jesuits=and is THE PATRON of retreats=He

Lived from 1491=to 1556

 

He had a short military career=but he was WOUNED by a cannon ball=

That hit him in the thigh=When he was convalescing=HE only

Had two books available to him=ONE about the LIFE of Jesus

Christ=and one about the LIVES of the Saints=This journey with these books

HELPED HIM=reorient his life=after OUR ONE TRUE GREAT TREASURE=

Jesus Christ=We honor Saint Ignatius of Loyola today=July 31^st=and

He is=A TREASURE TOO

 

“He will be the sure foundation=for your times=a rich store

Of salvation=and wisdom and knowledge=the fear of the Lord is=

The key=TO THIS TREASURE”                                                                                                      Isaiah 33:6

 

“FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS=there your heart will be also”                                     Matthew 6:21

 

“But we=Have THIS TREASURE=in jars of clay=to show that

This all-surpassing power=is from God=and not from us”                                               2 Corinthians 4:7

 

IN LIFE=we have to fight for ourselves=TO FIND=where our

TREASURES are=to see what lies in our heart=FOR ME=that TREASURE=

Just like Saint Ignatius=of Loyola=will always be THE LIFE of Jesus Christ=

OUR ONE TRUE GREAT TREASURE=Is Jesus=and our HOLY FATHER GOD!

 

“The Lord your God=has chosen you=OUT of all the peoples=on

The face of the earth=to be his people=HIS TREASURED POSSESSION”                       Deuteronomy 7:6

 

“……..in order that they may know=the mystery of God=Namely Christ

In whom are hidden=ALL THE TREASURES=of wisdom and knowledge”                   Colossians 2:3

 

“He regarded disgrace=for the sake of Christ=as of greater value=than

THE TREASURES of Egypt=because he was looking ahead=to his

Great reward”                                                                                                                                          Hebrews 11:26

 

Like Saint Ignatius=I FOUND MYSELF=and Jesus Christ=MY ONE TRUE

GREAT TREASURE=while laying on the flat of my back with illness=and

So whatever is GOING wrong in your life=keep looking towards the

CROSS OF CHRIST=and

 

You will=FIND YOUR TREASURE=Our Jesus=the one thing we NEED

In this world to combat all things=OUR ONE TRUE GREAT TREASURE!=

Jesus and HIS HOLY FATHER GOD!=the ONLY TREASURE THAT LASTS!
